Very old system, low pay no raises offered, hard to hit goals, & no advancement within the company. Managers blame you for why people are not paying their medical debt. Even after averaging 150-200 calls a day, VERY repetitive. And when raffling prizes it is ridge in the CEO favor of his favorites. Managers are very patient if you have a problem and/or a concern with a accounts. Also benefits are pricey, and bonuses aren’t nice when you finally hit goals. I’d strongly suggest working elsewhere !
Instead of going into debt and making monthly loan payments, first put your money into monthly savings. Then when you have accumulated enough, you can use those savings to pay for that car, TV, or vacation you’ve wanted. You’ll save a bundle on interest and sleep better at night without worrying about how you’ll be able to pay all your bills.
My credit score is 782. My wife’s score is very close to that if not higher. We are about to purchase a new home. At the same time, I need to take out a $20,000 personal loan to make a large purchase for the new home. We anticipate no issues with securing the mortgage or the personal loan, but I’d hate for my credit rating to go down if I just acquired the personal loan beforehand. How much of a hit should my credit rating take and would it cause problems securing the mortgage even if we would be well-qualified otherwise?
In Norway, credit scoring services are provided by three credit scoring agencies: Dun & Bradstreet, Experian and Lindorff Decision. Credit scoring is based on publicly available information such as demographic data, tax returns, taxable income and any Betalingsanmerkning (non-payment records) that might be registered on the credit-scored individual. Upon being scored, an individual will receive a notice (written or by e-mail) from the scoring agency stating who performed the credit score as well as any information provided in the score. In addition, many credit institutions use custom scorecards based on any number of parameters. Credit scores range between 300 and 900.
With a score this high, you won’t face any problems securing a loan. Your personal loan interest rates for credit score 798 and above should range from 13% to 15% on average, but lower rates are definitely available. Shopping around will be in your best interest, because you’ll qualify for nearly every loan. However, be sure to do your shopping in a brief period of time so your credit score doesn’t take a dip.
There are a lot of people out there with incomes into the six figures that have bad credit. The reason is not that they don’t make enough money or that they aren’t saving enough. The reason is that they have made bad choices with their debt.
I’m guessing you are lucky enough to have a high-paying job, Ray? I was at one time making six-figures and had a credit score of over 800. When my job was sent overseas, I had to short sell my house and sell everything. I am back on track now but with a much lower-paying job. I pay ALL of my bills on time, sometimes early, and always pay over the minimum payment on my credit card. Yet somehow, I am still only considered average in terms of credit risk because of the short sell due to my job being outsourced – completely out of my control. I still maintain the same financially responsible habits, have for nearly six years since my layoff, yet my score is still only “Fair.” I’m not whining, and I work extremely hard 40 hours a week to make ends meet, so please don’t make the assumption that everybody who has a “fair” credit score is some kind of lazy bum. That is an extremely arrogant assumption.
A typical day at wok included everyone constantly looking over your shoulder watching everything you do. I learned how to deal with difficult co-workers that expected me to do more work than humanly possible in 8 hours for horrible pay. The managers treated their employees like children. Some people that just got hired were making more than me and I was there for 4 years. Some co-workers were awesome people that would help with anything you needed and others used their seniority to their advantage to make you do their work for them. The hardest part of my job was dealing with the managers and upper level co-workers. The most enjoyable part of my job was the co-workers that would go above and beyond to help.
• Your credit history must stretch over many years. A 2011 study by SubscriberWise, a credit reporting agency for the communications industry, found the average length of a credit history for someone with an 850 FICO score was 30 years. Ulzheimer says some people simply can’t ascend to 850 yet because their credit history isn’t old enough, “even if they do everything else right.” Length of credit history accounts for 15 percent of a FICO credit score.

And even more importantly, your 798 credit score is one of the biggest indicators of your fiscal responsibility, that’s why it’s very important to understand is it “good” or “bad“. Anytime you apply for a new loan or credit card, someone will be looking over your credit report. And you’ll even find that future landlords and employers will consider your credit before making their decision. The lower your credit score is, the bigger your risk of having to make a large deposit before getting a new lease or opening a new account. Your credit score could even result in lost job opportunities.
And PS, when my brother short sold his home, his credit took a 50pt hit for about a year, then actually increased higher than it originally started (due to less in-debtness afterward). So you definitely have more going on than you speak of….

Most of these credit scoring systems use a scale that ranges from 300 to 850. However, there are some that also go up to 900 or 950, including industry-specific scores used by certain institutions.
You are an arrogant one. Many people have been killed credit wise by medical bills and other unpredictable events. Yet you claim they chose that road and now have to live with it. Taking advantage of people because of life is a scummy game, yet you and lenders would have us believe it’s fair. Just because it is mathematical it is correct? Talk about a lemming. I don’t need to think for myself they already did it. The king has no clothes. Gouging people increases the lenders risk by setting up the lendee to fail. It is a business model that is a win win for the lender and a lot of risk for the lendee.
Having negative information on your credit report, such as late payments, civil judgments, or too many hard inquiries, can make it more difficult to get approved for credit cards and loans with favorable rates and terms. The good news is that this negative information will be automatically removed from your credit repot after a set time period.
A professional litigation staff will provide expert attention to all delinquent accounts. If the debtor is in the same geographic area as the creditor, an asset search is conducted to determine the feasibility of litigation. When the services of an Affiliate or an attorney are required for a debtor outside of the creditor’s service area, noncontingent suit fees and costs must be advanced by the creditor.
If you find that you have a pretty lengthy history of late and missed payments, then your scores on each scoring model will be negatively impacted by your inability to make payments. When determining your score, each scoring model will take a closer look at how recently you have missed a payment or were late, how many accounts were late, and how many total payments on each account were missing or late.
Even if you can only afford to pay the minimum, always pay on time because that will have a bigger impact on your score than the amount you pay, Detweiler says. Set up automatic bill pay through your credit account or bank account so you don’t miss a payment.

In general, a FICO credit score above 650 is considered good, although many people strive to be above 750. It is practically impossible to score a perfect 850 FICO score because there are a lot of different items from your credit report which go into calculating your FICO score. Keep in mind that different lenders (mortgage, credit card, automobile loan) will use different methods of credit scoring to assess your credit risk.

My debt will be paid off within the next 7 months and my credit score will skyrocket during the process. When my debt is gone, my score will disappear and it will be one of the most joyous experiences of my life, aside from the birth of my son. I will be on the path for true financial excellence. You should all try it.

You’re not in the “Bad” category, but still a long ways from “Fair.” That loan will cost you 13.55 percent interest, and over the next four years you pay a total of $6,017 in interest.
