Your payment history is the key factor that helps to determine your credit score. In the simplest terms, your payment history is based on how often you pay at least the minimum payment on your bills on time. However, some of the other factors aren’t so simple. The second most important factor is the amount you owe, which is based on the amount of credit you have available compared to the amount of debt you have. This is called your credit utilization ration, and it matters because lenders believe you are more likely to miss payments if your credit cards are maxed out.
You can send a letter by certified mail with a return receipt request, so you can document when the dispute was sent and when it was received. Send all your information to the credit bureau that you are asking to investigate the item on the credit report. Making copies of what you send is also a good defense for if they say you never submitted enough evidence to support your claim.
The accumulation of wealth and experience over time is the most likely explanation for this. As people age, they also tend to grow more financially responsible and secure, qualities that lend themselves to credit improvement. And the more time you have, the more opportunity there is to recover from mistakes. Another reason is the way credit scores are calculated. The length of your credit history accounts for a significant portion of your score (around 15%), for one thing.

Although each item was adddressed, documented, and confirmed because I was not able to travel TO THE COURT TO SHOW UP ( I worked in South America for 6 years) the Judge awarded the local Atty. ( More importantly their was “no proof of service” ( meaning nothing received that required a signature to prove it was received) that was able to be shown that was ever sent to me! Yet again, the local Judge awarded the local Atty money ( including more interest) against a filling that was entered into with the court 3 years after I moved out of the State, and then an additional 5.5 years that they tried to collect the ine highly inflated, bogus (no work done) billing. THIS HAS BEEN ON MY CREDIT BUREAU FOR 7 YEARS, and instead of allowing it to drop off, the Atty has refiled his claim again that will keep it on my bureau for another 7 years!
I had a score of 800, paid off a loan early and the next month it was 780. I too have no missed payments and a credit card that I carry a low balance on because I was told a factor was showing you can make regular payments. A note: if you go to a car dealer and let them run your credit it actually will show multiple requests because they send them to a number of companies to try and get you the best rate. Instead I took s copy of my credit report and had them give me an estimate based on my score.
You are an arrogant one. Many people have been killed credit wise by medical bills and other unpredictable events. Yet you claim they chose that road and now have to live with it. Taking advantage of people because of life is a scummy game, yet you and lenders would have us believe it’s fair. Just because it is mathematical it is correct? Talk about a lemming. I don’t need to think for myself they already did it. The king has no clothes. Gouging people increases the lenders risk by setting up the lendee to fail. It is a business model that is a win win for the lender and a lot of risk for the lendee.

The third factor in play is your length of credit history, which assesses the average age of your accounts and how long it’s been since those accounts were actually used. The last two, smallest factors are how often you apply for new accounts and how diverse your credit portfolio is. In other words, opening multiple accounts at a time hurts your score, while having different types of accounts improves it.

Cars break down when they are not maintained so the money people think they are saving skipping maintenance always comes back to bite them in the end.
Experian, Equifax, TransUnion and their trade association (the Consumer Data Industry Association or “CDIA”) have all gone on record saying that employers do not receive credit scores on the credit reports sold for the purposes of employment screening.[citation needed] The use of credit reports for employment screening is allowed in all states, although some have passed legislation limiting the practice to only certain positions. Eric Rosenberg, director of state government relations for TransUnion, has also stated that there is no research that shows any statistical correlation between what’s in somebody’s credit report and their job performance or their likelihood to commit fraud.[31]

After all, there are lots of different credit scores that lenders use when trying to decide whether to grant you a loan. What one lender may view as a “good” score may fall into another lender’s “fair” credit category. (Not to mention, you may score differently from model to model.)
